Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, managing, and leading company resources to execute NPI customer focused programs or program components from design phase through implementation.
Identifies and communicates program scope and ensures milestones and objectives are met in accordance with the Skyworks product realization process.
Conducts weekly project reviews to determine progress to the schedule, to discuss ongoing project risks and to document action items.
Will need strong communication and organizational skills and be able to drive activity and progress across multiple internal groups.
The project manager must also deal with priorities and conflicts with other programs to ensure the schedule is met.
Ensures effective communication between technical and non-technical functions.
Coordinates schedules, manages risk, monitors budgets and assigns tasks.
Keeps management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
The project manager also provides support for data management, data tracking and database management for the various Program Management initiatives and metrics.
Requirements
BS in a technical discipline preferred
Project Management Knowledge
5 years experience working as PM in a semiconductor consumer electronics environment
Proficient in Microsoft Project, as well as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with technical and detailed documentation
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong organizational capabilities
Must be competent at multi task functionality and hands-on project management
Knowledge of Phase Gate Process
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with cross-functional and cross-site teams, foster teamwork and bridge differences to achieve the program goal
Experience with multinational Tier 1 External customers preferred
Up to 25% travel required, as necessary
