VP of Data Architecture & Governance at Agility Irvine, CA

The VP of Data Architecture & Governance is responsible for designing the use of data as a corporate asset.
The role drives innovation through data and analytics and the promotion of an enterprise-wide data-driven work culture.
The VP of Data Architecture supports the Chief Digital Officer in developing a long-term data strategy aligned with business priorities, and supports the building of organizational structures and skills to support this strategy.
Responsibilities:
Develops a medium- and long-term data roadmap and operational framework to meet enterprise and regulatory prioritiesDesigns, oversees and aligns data structures for data governance systems, aligns data structures in legacy systems, oversees APIs for alignment with business needsEnsures optimization of data continuous governance practices for consistent, secure and synchronized data availability throughout business functions in accordance with all enterprise policiesWorks to decrease the costs of collecting, managing, and sharing data while increasing the value of dataIdentifies and explores new business areas and opportunities enabled by data analyticsWorks closely with the CDO and other business leaders to evangelize enterprise data sharing and collaboration and to promote the enterprise-wide use of data and analytics.
Promotes an enterprise-wide data-driven decision-making culture and ensures organizational structures and skills are in place to support this cultureBuilds organization-wide data analytics capabilities through brokering access to data sources and providing upskilling opportunitiesJOB REQUIREMENTSSKILLS:
Knowledge of Master Data Maintenance models, technical data architectureAbility to effectively coordinate, allocate, and manage resources and projects throughout multiple teamsKnowledge of trends and developments in the fields of data management and data analyticsInformation management and quantitative skills, including working knowledge of IT infrastructure, various technologies/platforms, and enterprise-specific vendor solutions.
Industry-specific knowledge of data security protocols, policies, and regulations.
Exceptional analytical, written, oral, and presentation skills with proven track record of effectively communicating actionable insights.
Exemplary diplomatic skills and ability to help senior business leaders see value, opportunities, and risks beyond their own area of expertiseAbility to understand problems from a broad perspective and anticipate the impact of administrative issues and solutions.
Experience:
Over fifteen years of leadership experience in leading/managing cross-functional teamsOver ten years of experience in managing enterprise data strategy and multiyear roadmapsOver ten years of experience in data analytics, data mining, and data governanceEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science or related fields; master's preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
