Maintains files (paper and electronic) for various projects to ensure development and approval materials are preserved in a consistent manner and can be easily retrieved. Prepares routing and non-routine correspondence for signature by the supervisor. Establishes and maintains a library of administrative notices, procedures, regulations, reports and correspondence files on a wide variety of management issues. Performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. To qualify for the GS-5 Management Assistant position, you must have one year of specialized experience that is equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include:
assisting in the maintenance of a filing system; preparing correspondence on routine administrative matters; utilizing an electronic word processing system; and performing a variety of administrative tasks. OR Four years of education above the high school. OR A combination of both education and experience. A transcript MUST BE SUBMITTED with your application if you are basing all or part of your qualifications on education. To qualify for the GS-6 Management Assistant position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level. For this position, specialized experience may include:
retrieving paper and electronic files to respond to management requests, preparing correspondence on routine administrative matters; maintaining correspondence files on a variety of management issues; and performing a variety of administrative tasks. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
