Administrative Management Specialist

The position of Administrative Management Specialist falls under the 0301 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-7/9, you must meet Time-in-Grade requirements by 11:
59 pm EST on 06/13/2019. In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this documentation is included in the employee's official personnel record. In order to receive credit for experience in your resume that is not within the official series and grade level of your official position, you must provide a copy of the appropriate documentation of such experience as indicated above. You must possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service. Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience includes experience in supporting the areas of human resources management, administrative policy, budgetary and procedural matters, program and management analysis, office layout and space management, records management, office security and safety; applying administrative management concepts, laws, regulations, techniques, and guidelines. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related; OR Combination of the required experience and education for this grade level. For GS-07:
You must possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 in the Federal service. Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience includes experience of a working knowledge of a variety of administrative and office support functions in multiple areas such as human resources management, administrative policy, budgetary and procedural matters, program and management analysis, office layout and space management, records management, office security and safety; applying administrative management concepts, laws, regulations, techniques, and guidelines. OR One full year of graduate level education in a related field. One year of full-time graduate study in a related field is defined as 18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours; OR Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.). S.A.A. is based on:
Class standing in upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision; GPA of 3.0 or higher out of 4.0 based on 4 years of education, or based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; GPA of 3.5 or higher based on the average of all the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society that meets the minimum requirements of the Association of College Honor Societies (except for freshman honor societies); OR Combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.
