Lab Technician (Contract to Hire)

Job Description

Job Summary:

The primary role of the Lab Technician is the timely and accurate execution of test procedures as requested by customer projects.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Preparation of samples for testing.

  • Performance of testing per the specified test plan and/or SOP, and operation of respective equipment for each test.

  • Documentation of results.

  • Repackaging of test samples after testing is complete.

  • Assist with training of new technicians on the 6000 level SOPs.

  • Recommend improvements for methods.

  • Shipping and receiving as needed.

  • Other duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent desired

  • Lab experience desired

  • CPLT desired, MS Office, Fluent in English

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities

  • Team player

  • Self-motivated / self-directed

  • Customer service oriented

  • Repeated bending and lifting up to 30 lbs. and occasional lifting of 30 to 50 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
