PositionDescription
The position will bereporting to Director Global Procurement, Medical Device & PackagingComponents. The Associate Director, Global Procurement will play animportant role in the management of packaging and component direct materialsand will be primarily responsible for implementing Allergan's global sourcingstrategies together with leaders across the Allergan Legal, Regulatory, Quality,Finance, Global Pharmaceutical Technology, Site Operations, and GlobalProcurement teams.

Description of KEY
Responsibilities:
Analyzecategories of spend to determine potential opportunities regarding costoptimization. Cooperate and coordinate procurement tasks with Supply Chain andOperations to ensure continuity of supply.
Own and manage all internal and externalrelationships that are required in order to deliver against the global sourcingstrategies. Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders ofall levels, as well as external supplier relationships with key supplierpersonnel focused on working with Allergan to build a mutually beneficialsupply relationships. Build and maintain a strong working knowledge ofsupply market conditions for the sourcing categories that are being managed, aswell as a good working knowledge of the supplier category offerings. Develop, approve and implement a sourcing categorystrategy for the agreed categories in support of Global Procurement objectives. Accountable for achieving targeted results, includingcost savings, for the agreed sourcing categories Manage strategic sourcing/alternate sourcing: ID requirements,create RFP, manage selection. Develop and execute negotiation of supplyagreements/contracts where necessary. Develop, manage and measure key supplierrelationships through lifecycle R & D, launch, commercial phases. Manage projects, its external resources, work planand progress of work.
Ensure that processes and communications channelsexist in order to maximize the effectiveness of the delivery andimplementations of any sourcing negotiations or projects.
Requirements
The following listedrequirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
8-10years of varied line and staff experience in pharmaceutical operations, supplychain, or R & D environment.
Abilityand willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required.
Pharmaceuticalprimary and secondary packaging external supplier management, evaluation, andselection focusing on cost, service, quality. Medical Device/Component experience a plus.
Contractnegotiation, management, and execution.
Supplierdevelopment and supplier performance.
Spendand performance analysis.
Materialsmanagement/Inventory levels.
Automatedpurchasing and planning systems - SAP preferred.
