Oracle America, Inc. has openings for Applications Developers in Irvine, CA. Analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end-user applications. Write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications. As a member of the software engineering division, perform detailed design based on provided design or external specifications. Assist in system planning, scheduling and implementation. Analyze system specifications and existing business processes and information systems. Build enhancements (including new product features) and resolve bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. May review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate and interact with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in an applications developer-related occupation. Experience must include:
1. At least 5 years of experience in web based multi-tier application development technologies and n-tier architecture systems;
2. SDLC experience developing large and complex systems;
3. Object oriented analysis and design concepts;
4. Designing, developing, testing and maintaining web based and intranet applications using C, C++, C+
COM, VB, C#, VB.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML, Microsoft .NET framework, XML, Web Services, SOAP, REST, WCF and B2B Exchange, including Cyclone or Oracle B2B;
5. Working with threading model in a C+
COM that is hosted as a Web Server application;
6. Oracle DBMS, Oracle Developer Tools, InstallShield, IIS 7.5 and 8.0, Web Services, SMTP, SSO Authentication Schemes;
7. Designing and developing highly scalable web-based applications to be used by small and large companies supporting up to 1000
concurrent users with requirements of having the system up 24 hours a day; and
8. Supporting customers during implementation and production phases of the product lifecycle when problems arise.
