Our fast growing, entrepreneurial client is seeking an exceptional Senior Accountant to join their company to play a pivotal, newly created hands-on role in their financial accounting and reporting process. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Perform all facets of daily accounting operations including preparing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, processing accounts payable
Perform and review all facets of the month-end close process including financial statement preparation/compilation and analysis
Prepare and manage the external reporting process related to SEC filings and participate in Investor Relations
Interact and act as the key liaison with external auditors for audit related issues
Perform any ad-hoc analysis and projects on an as needed basis
The ideal Senior Accountant will possess a degree in Accounting or related field along with 2-5 years of accounting experience. Public accounting experience (i.e., ideally Big 4 or second tier firms) required with exposure to SEC clients ideal. The Senior Accountant must be driven, hungry to learn and grow, thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment, and be a self-starter and work independently. The Senior Accountant will have extensive visibility to executive management and will be able to make an impact on the company's financial operations. A CPA is highly preferred.
