Laboratory Associate - FISH - GE (Aliso Viejo, CA)

o Maintain laboratory in a clean, functional state, as well as cleaning or performing scheduling equipment and instrument maintenance / calibration / certifications, as required.
o Standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, manual manipulation, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
Qualifications/Requirements o Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Biological Sciences background) o Basic understanding of general laboratory techniques.
o Ability to demonstrate initiative, balanced assertiveness and team orientation.
o Must have excellent time management skills.
o Ability to handle biological samples and potentially hazardous chemicals.
o Ability to operate equipment with sufficient proficiency to successfully execute test procedures.
o Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, tissue culture techniques and general laboratory processes and medical terminology is preferred.
o Computer skills and laboratory automation knowledge.
o Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
