We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Financial Cost Analyst to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a critical role that will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on costs and profitability, providing financial support to manufacturing operations, and driving continuous improvement in cost reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, financial analysis, and manufacturing operations. This role requires a high level of financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform cost analysis and profitability reporting for manufacturing operations, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.
2. Support the manufacturing operations team with financial analysis and decision-making, including product costing, pricing, and margin analysis.
3. Process billing, maintain accounts receivable, manage accounts payable, and oversee payroll.
4. Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
5. Assist with the annual close process, including preparation of financial statements and audit support.
6. Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by management.
7. Drive continuous improvement in cost reporting and analysis, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
8. Maintain and enhance the ERP system to support cost accounting and financial analysis.
9. Provide financial support and analysis for the aerospace and defense sector of the manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cost accounting or financial analysis role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and cost accounting principles.
4. Experience with process billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
5. Proven experience in month-end close, annual close, and ad hoc reporting.
6. Experience with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
7. Knowledge of the aerospace and defense industry is a plus.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
10. High level of proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
11. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
12. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output.
13. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
