We are a group of passionate planners and engineers who work to help our neighboring communities by expanding accessibility and improving mobility.Why join us?Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance.401(k) Plan with matching and profit sharing.Flexible Spending Accounts.Commuter Benefits.Paid Vacation, holidays and sick leave.8 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.Job DetailsLeading and managing tasks for engineering and planning studiesPerforming field work, such as site review preceding design, and support during constructionPreparing conceptual designs that are accurate, feasible, and visually engagingPreparing plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for transportation engineering projects, including complete streets, bikeways, traffic signal, signing/striping, and lighting projectsManaging direct client interaction and communication with members of the public through community engagementMarketing and bringing in new projects by nurturing client relationships and preparing proposals and interviewsMentoring and training your colleagues and receiving mentorship from senior staffQualifications3-5 years of experience in transportation engineeringCurrently hold or plan to hold a professional engineer's (PE) licenseExperience applying Caltrans, MUTCD, and AASHTO design standards on a variety of projectsFamiliarity with preparing and reviewing signing, striping, and traffic signal plansSafety countermeasure selection and designFamiliarity with mobility issues and how they affect transportation engineeringExperience leading proposals and nurturing client relationshipsInterest and experience with mentoring and training staffAdditional Desired QualificationsRoad Safety Professional (RSP) certificationPassion for listening to and engaging with diverse communitiesQuick-build project design and implementationActive transportation planning and designRoad safety planning and designInterested in hearing more?
