The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for an expert in video encoding and streaming to join the team. Coding skills in C+
and PythonFamiliarity With Video Codecs (H.264/HEVC/AV1)Subjective and Objective Video Quality MetricsHands on experience with tuning video encoding parameters to balance bitrate, performance and qualityExperience building Real-Time Video Quality Measurement ToolsUnderstanding of HLS Media Streaming would be a PlusDescriptionOur team is challenged to push the capabilities of modern hardware to the limit in order to achieve incredible goals. You will work in a team of engineers to add new backend encoding and quality measurement capabilities. You will be developing services focused on Immersive Content. With your skills in analyzing video quality, you will be able to influence video encoding workflows and in turn help with delivering best quality immersive videos to our customers. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
