Hot Die Forging Technician
We are currently seeking a forging technician at our Irvine, CA location.
This role assists press operators by performing a variety of tasks supporting the forging process of high-performance materials used in jet engine components for the aerospace industry.
Position responsibilities include:
Preparing metal stock for forging, positioning hot metal stock on hot dies, and extracting hot forgings from diesCompleting quality assurance and part tracking documentationPreparing thermocouple wiringOperating a forklift following safe work practicesOther duties as assigned by supervision.
Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskAbility to perform basic math.
Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions.
Heavy liftingDedication to safe work practicesHourly pay rate:
$21 to $23 per hour.
This position is a weekend 3x12 schedule Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; 4am-4:
30pm, but will be paid for 40hrs.
or 1st shift Monday to Friday 4 am to 12:
30.
