Overview:
The technical editor will assist colleagues and clients, throughout California and the U.
S.
, in multiple aspects of TRCs Advanced Energy business practice.
Job tasks include editing, formatting, and quality control of multiple client-facing deliverables including engineering reports, new business proposals, and marketing collateral.
Some data management (mostly using Microsoft Access) may be required.
This is a remote position for a California resident.
Responsibilities:
The technical editor will be responsible for the following job tasks:
Edit and finalize client facing and internal deliverables o Ensure that grammar, spelling, and punctuation are executed correctly o Ensure that documents are written in a clear and consistent tone and voice o Format documents in alignment with internal and external style guides Create of a variety of internal and customer-facing documents and deliverables using a variety of software applications Understand and follow all company document control procedures to ensure smooth tracking, retrieval, archiving, and back-up of documents relation to program activities and deliverables Estimate and document work load to establish completion dates while keeping stakeholders up to date on project status New business proposal support o Review proposal-related requirements and ensure that responses meet requirements o Edit responses for formatting, grammar, and spelling errors o Develop specific proposal, qualifications, and form responses, making sure that all technical and administrative requirements are met o Produce high quality proposals and deliver bound and/or electronic responses within firm deadlines o Assemble multiple documents for electronic distribution to clients and potential clients in a timely and organized fashion Provide miscellaneous support to TRC program managers and engineers as requested.
Provide support for administrative and technical staff members as available when primary duties are fulfilled or workload requires.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications Degree in English or technical and professional writing Experience writing and/or editing grants or new business proposal Experience supporting multiple business programs and platforms Minimum 3 years experience in document and process control, analysis, and reporting Motivated team player who likes a collegial environment Proficient with software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Access Expert level proficiency with Styles in Microsoft word Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite Highly Qualified Candidates will demonstrate:
Educational Minor in Graphic Design Experience working with remote colleagues and clients Document and process control, analysis, and reporting in Engineering or Scientific background Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or other technical writing background Microsoft Word:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
