Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President, Real Estate & Facilities, in a multi-location educational setting, the Senior Project Manager provides assistance with Project and Program level management of capital and major operations projects including new construction, reconfigurations, and renovations.
The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for the project management of strategic initiatives at the enterprise level.
The Senior Project Manager works closely with all levels of management at both the campus and administration levels to ensure thorough and consistent communication and distribution of information.
The Senior Project Manager researches and stays current with Project Management best practices and is actively involved in business case development for new projects and initiatives.
This position will be responsible for moves, adds, and changes around furniture, space planning, furniture installations, product specifications, etc.
Responsibilities:
Provides project and program level management for construction, reconfiguration, and renovation projects.
Prepares construction Requests for Proposal (RFP) including contractor pre-qualification documents and contract documents for bid packages.
Coordinates review and approval of proposed project plans with all levels of management at both campus and administration levels.
Prepares budget, schedule, project documentation, change order management, cost forecasting, risk/benefit analysis, and end-of-project closeout.
Maintains budget and project schedules and regularly reports variances.
Coordinates the solicitation for and selection of supporting consultants and contractors.
Reviews and monitors consultant scope of work, fee structure, proposals, additional scope changes, agreements and performance.
Resolves problems in a variety of environments with demonstrated effectiveness in working with designers, architects, and engineers with regard to practical constructability, value engineering, and team management of project milestones.
Ensures compliance with ADA (Americans with Disability Act), occupancy load calculations, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems, and construction sequencing and durations.
Reviews contractor bid submittals, construction plans, qualifications, and sub-contractor awards.
Coordinates development of construction management schedule.
Conducts regular job site meetings, design reviews, and on-site issue management and works closely with senior management, the design team and consultants, in both design and construction phases.
Works with educational and program leadership on data gathering and programming for educational program-related projects, build-outs, and campus modifications.
Maintains project files and Smartsheet PM systems to ensure all project files are up to date.
Education:
Associates Degree required.
Bachelor's degree in design, architecture, project management, or business preferred.
Knowledge/
Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience required.
Specializes in one or more related disciplines with advanced knowledge.
Experience with Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
Experience with MS Office and Scheduling software.
Experience in administering projects.
Managerial experience is a plus.
Must have experience with moves, adds, and changes around furniture, space planning, furniture installations, product specifications, etc.
Previous experience within an academic/educational institution is desirable.
Experience with CAD or other similar program a plus.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) plans as well as ability to read and interpret building and city codes.
Ability to travel/drive on a weekly, daily and/or on an as needed basis to campuses in surrounding area (up to 25%).
Must have a valid driver's license.
Salary:
$82,915 - $120,201 #LI-CM1 #HEJ Recommended Skills Administration Architectural Drawing Architecture Cad Calculations Constructability Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
