OC San is currently looking to fill the role of a Human Resources Technician II.
Under general supervision, the Human Resources Technician II performs a variety of specialized and routine administrative and technical work in support of the Human Resources Department, which includes the Risk Management Division, and reports directly to the Safety and Health Supervisor.
This position is a confidential classification responsible for handling sensitive documents and information and assisting in ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and adherence to the Department's established policies and procedures.
This position may provide programmatic support for both Human Resources and Risk Management staff as needed.
Specifically, this individual will assist in the administration of various Risk Management Division programs including injury and incident reporting, record management systems, safety training administration, personal protective equipment and badge system management, medical surveillance program, DMV employer pull notice program to monitor driving records, Department of Transportation's pipeline safety program, and various related special projects.
Daily responsibilities include screening calls, visitors, and mail; responding to requests for information and assistance from staff, contractors, and vendors; researching information related to assigned programs; maintaining safety training calendar; arranging and coordinating meetings; preparing agendas and correspondence; attending meetings and taking minutes; and serving as a liaison with other departments, the public, and outside agencies.
The Human Resources Technician II works with a high degree of independent judgment, confidentiality, accuracy, and initiative when completing assignments; and is responsible for assisting in preparing and tracking the division's budget, organizing and maintaining filing systems, reports and other information as needed; typing and proofreading a wide variety of documents.
Other duties include maintaining and ordering office supplies; preparing purchase requisitions; processing invoices for payment; participating in the development, implementation, and administration of approved policies and procedures; operating a variety of office equipment including a computer and copiers; and other duties as assigned.

76/Hour (starting salary will be within this range based upon qualifications) Supplemental Information Physical Demands Mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; this is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required; occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information; ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 35 pounds.

Employees are required to complete all related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
Other Requirements Probationary Period:
All OC San employees, except classifications considered at-will, are subject to the probationary period provisions as specified in the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, policies, and/or resolutions.
Employees who have not yet successfully completed their initial probationary period serve at-will and may be released from employment without cause or recourse to any appeal or grievance procedures.

Work Location Assignment:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
