Summary:
The Operations Manager is a process management role within the Production department that encompasses ownership of Content Review, budget tracking, and process documentation.
This position would be a part of the PD Ops team (a support team within the PD group) and report to the Associate Director of Operations.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Content Review Manage the Content Review process to ensure the increasing volume of requests across our portfolio get appropriate feedback and risk mitigation in a timely manner.
Field incoming requests and ensure Content Review Committee has adequate context Manage the participants of said committee, including a broad range of representation from SOA and EU-based SEGA staff of varied cultural backgrounds Track ongoing content reviews for easy reference; categorize by severity to determine appropriate level of review Manage external vendor requests for content of particularly sensitive nature, ensuring contracts, timelines, and deliverables are clearly managed Catalogue and archive feedback and decisions for future reference and to use as case studies, or to repurpose for educational purposes with our development teams early in development Budget Tracking Design and develop methods to improve the accuracy, consistency, accountability, and visibility of PD budgets and their associated resource allocations.
Update internal cost forecasting tools and provide PD with project budgets based on planned resource allocations.
Review project decks for accuracy prior to meetings.
Work with Accounting, Business Planning, and Inline teams to ensure tools and information meet the needs of all teams Plan and track annual department expenses in review with VP, Director, and BP team (ie.
tools, software, fonts, renewals, dept.
events, etc.
) Work with Loc management to track average output of translators and editors, using a data driven approach to plan necessary resources for a particular project based on volume and content type (ie.
wild, ADR, face capture, etc BA1 .
) Support producers on individual title planning and tracking (ie.
digest vendor reports, external localization costs) On a monthly basis, circulate the allocation tracker, review ongoing spend vs.
budget and meet with each project's Producer to account for any discrepancies.
Flag PD management for any risks to forecasted costs based on accrued actuals.
Help determine appropriate interventions and escalations Work with Legal to establish and update MSAs with Loc, VO, QA, and other related vendors.
Track and compare partner costs annually, negotiate for better rates where feasible to ensure we are getting the best value Internal Process Be the go-to source for all internal PD process documentation, ensuring that all forms are up-to-date and properly audited.
Work with department leadership to design and annually review and update a set of onboarding documents for new hires Schedule and plan internal PD post-mortems.
Host discussion and ensure Producers synthesize into reports for dev teams Review internal Confluence articles and vet for accuracy; Socialize Confluence updates via newsletter and/or recurring department meetings Help drive usage of important PD documents (ie.
Credits template, binary master sheet) by communicating process and document updates through a recurring newsletter Review department job descriptions in collaboration with department management and update when necessary Act as the department's Data Champion.
Manage all communications related to CVAA Qualifications and Skills:
Process management expertise Proficiency in budget tracking.
Familiarity with accounting principles and cost management Proven track record in project management Excellent communication skills Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience working at a fast-paced game studio Continuous improvement mindset, ability to drive positive change within the organization Bilingual in Japanese a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
