The primary role of the Business Continuity Manager will provide leadership in coordinating, assessing, developing and communicating recovery environment requirements and contingency plans associated with PDS business units to protect the organization in the event that facilities or technology resources are unavailable due to an unforeseen disruption.
Provide project leadership between the technology groups and other company business units as part of the overall Information Security & IT Governance function and ensure security, continuity and availability requirements are embedded into all aspects of PDS operations including new projects and technology deployments.
This position will be responsible for conducting organizational wide Business Impact Analysis (BIA) assessments, ensure the dependencies between core IT / Business services are understood and appropriately mapped.
This will involve planning and implementation of the business unit contingency plans for providing manual / off-line procedures development to mitigate any risk associated with complete or partial failure of facilities, technology systems, or applications.
With minimal supervision, the incumbent is expected to interact with the critical business units and support groups for the purpose of planning, directing, controlling, and maintaining the contingency planning effort including regular testing, exercises and audits of internal controls / process.
This position should also have the ability to work across complex, cross functional, multi-dimensional environments protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of PDS information and information assets in a commercially sensible and risk based manner.
In addition to the above, other responsibilities will include managing the suite of IT security tools and managing their lifecycle and accurately reporting on any operational business impact.

Assume leadership role for Business Contingency planning efforts with a major focus on assuring the adequacy of business unit contingency plans for critical business areas, functions and applications.
To maintain continued operations, asset protection, and loss mitigation in the event of a disruption, coordinating activities of technology resources with the company's business units and development groups, as required.
Assume leadership role in developing, coordinating, and maintaining comprehensive business contingency plans and validation methodology, to ensure the firm's ability to recovery, in the event of an unforeseen disruption to facilities, technology systems, or applications.
Assist the department in enhancing, formalizing, and standardizing the business planning process, including forecasting and tracking mechanisms, across all business units, to facilitate timely accommodation of future company recovery requirements and opportunities.
Work with business unit management to enhance contingency plans, mitigating the effect of a technology system or application failure or problem.
Perform periodic reviews and tests of established Business Continuity Plans and procedures, reporting findings to management and making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Provide Business Continuity Planning documentation and training to all employees having a need to understand the Business Continuity Planning process.
Perform risk analysis related to PDS technologies and business partners and make recommendations for risk remediation.
Collaborate with Senior Director of Information Security; Compliance and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance (e.
g.
HIPAA, PCI) including activity related to ePHI, HITRUST, PCI-DSS for example.
Assist in various compliance efforts as needed, including HITRUST, HIPAA, and PCI.
Evaluate, propose, and leverage resources and solutions where appropriate that are scalable and cost effective including in-house, on premise, cloud, hybrid, hosted, staffing, and sourcing solutions.
Research and leverage IT / IT security trends and emerging technologies to create business value consistent with the company's needs and growth expectations.
Foster inter-departmental collaboration and relationships by providing consultation on complex projects, architectural initiatives and other infrastructure impacting IT affiliated projects.
Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Required Minimum 5 years experience in business continuity, crisis planning, emergency management, facilitates/critical systems management, security planning, or related role.
Demonstrated success in leading large-scale implementations and changes management.
Bachelor's degree in IT / Information Security, Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 8
years of hands-on experience supporting broad network communication functions.
Must be able to participate in on-call manager duties (24/7) in support of event management escalation function.
Business Continuity Certification (CBCP, CBCI).
One or more security certifications such as CISM, CISA, CISSP, ITIL, or equivalent.
Preferred Master Degree preferred.
Working knowledge of security management tools for patch management, vulnerability management, anti-virus management, security incident and event management, etc.
Prior experience in the medical/dental industry.

Ability to evaluate technology solutions using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Skilled in determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
Ability to comprehend, organize and synthesize complex data, identify issues and trends and develop and implement solutions to achieve management objectives.
Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policies.

Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
This is primarily a sedentary office classification but requires frequent day and overnight visits to regions.
