Associate Medical Director, Landmark First Response Clinical Call Team (MD)

Provides medical oversight and directs the staff and programs of the Landmark First Clinical Call Center and the associated community paramedicine/nursing services to deliver exceptional patient care. Develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines to ensure quality care for on-site. Experience providing oversight for telephonic care teams as well as paramedic teams required. Provides face to face care delivery of Landmark patients in one of our markets ensuring expertise of care delivery the Landmark way. #LI-MH1 - Creates department strategies and specific objectives for the team members and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the department infrastructure - Medical Oversight of the Rapid Responders (Paramedic/Nursing teams), combining direct patient care in the field with supervisory and other functions that ensure an effectively functioning response system - Performs remote daily direct medical decision-making and control of care with rapid responders - Initiates medical treatment orders based on clinical information provided - Develops and deploys patient treatment guidelines - Ensures procedural competency training of rapid responder teams - Leads quality management activities relating to medical care delivered - Maintain collaborative practice agreements (CPA's) with advanced practice providers (APP's) in multiple states - Participates in the on-call schedule - Ensures proper injury care and disease diagnosis and treatment - Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary - Develops and ensures proper communication streams between market provider teams both urgentivist and panelist - Ensures adherence to care coordination follow up and documentation - Adheres to national and state specific scopes of practice - Requires 5
years of managerial experience - Requires a MD degree from an accredited school - Board Certification, Board Certified ABEM/ABFM with ED or urgent care experience preferred - Active DEA Registration - Experience in managing complex, polychronic patients and comfort with high acuity - Requires a valid state license to practice and willingness to get licensed in other states where Landmark practices - Ability to work a variety of hours - Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments - Comfortable working with electronic medical records and mobile technology - Solution-oriented mindset and work approach. Charisma and a natural ability to connect with others - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and building rapport with patients and staff - Access to reliable transportation to conduct patient visits required; if you are driving a vehicle, you must comply with all the terms of the Landmark Motor Vehicle Safety policy. - Must be board certified at the time of hire or able to obtain board certification during the eligible timeframe (5 years following completion of residency or other training) Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
