Work collaboratively alongside a team of software engineers that design and develop code that consistently adheres to good programming practices; provide technical expertise to team members Actively engage in architectural sessions and provide solutions to complex problems Partake in code review and enforce good coding practices of unit tests, exception handling, reuse Design, develop, and maintain high volume web services and datastores Design and maintain database schemas Performance tuning/scaling Ensuring security best practices are followed Collaborate with product managers and technologists to solve business problems Own with the team the adoption by stakeholders of developed products including educating stakeholders in those products Own technical innovation/debt backlog Live by Agile (particularly Scrum) principles and collaborate with team members using Agile techniques including test driven development, code reviews, and retrospectives Grow Cox Automotive's position as an industry leader by exploring new technologies, languages, and techniques in the rapidly evolving world of software engineering What's In It For You? Qualifications:
Who You Are You are a passionate technologist with an innovative mindset, and someone who understands great things never came out of comfort zones. The world is changing fast, and your grit, gray matter and grace will be essential to our success. Here are a few additional tidbits that describe you:
You have a degree in Computer Science (or other engineering discipline), as well as 5
years of work in Software Engineering (or some other combo of education and work-related experience). You will be an expert development skills using Scala (or you have extensive experience with Java and would be willing to learn Scala)
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
