Medical Assistant - Plastic Surgery Part-time or Full-Time
Plastic Surgeon seeks A HIGHLY PERSONABLE, ENERGETIC, and EXPERIENCED INDIVIDUAL for part time (possibly full time) position as an MA/office coordinator in Irvine. Our office is located in a newly developed medical complex near Hoag Hospital - Irvine. We are a full service plastic surgery practice offering the latest and greatest plastic surgery procedures.
Part-time (possibly full time) position with hours from 9 AM to 5:00 PM. Days definitely needed are Monday, Wednesday, Fridays with possible extension to full week (M-F) later on.
Must be fluent in English. Candidate must be personable, an excellent communicator, organized, and have excellent patient care skills. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE in Plastic Surgery, Medical Spa, or Dermatology. Please DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE APPROPRIATE EXPERIENCE - YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1) Rooming patients, getting patient ready for Doctor's examination.
2) Exam room turn over and stocking of appropriate supplies throughout office.
3) Charting & document patient's office visits.
4) Follow up with patients post surgery.
5) Patient check in and check out.
6) Receive and route messages and documents such as laboratory results to appropriate staff.
7) Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
8) Compile and record medical charts, reports, and correspondence.
9) Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
10) Experience with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel is a must.
11) Assist with events as needed.
12) Must dress well on daily basis and maintain a well groomed appearance.
13) Answer multi-line phones
QUALIFICATIONS
MUST have at least 2 years experience in RELEVANT MEDICAL FIELDS, such as dermatology and/or plastic surgery. Ability to multi-task. Reliable, punctual and accountable. Self motivated and independent. Desires to help grow practice. Flexible. Able to interact with patients, colleagues and coworkers with warmth and a willingness to help in any way. Work under immediate supervision. Writing and computer skills are a must. Must have reliable self-transportation.
