We are looking for an accountable, energetic, and positive Purchasing & Warehouse Assistant to order supplies and equipment in accordance with our company's needs and ensure inventory is processed, organized, and stored.
Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain warehouse space to optimize storage efficiency.
Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and accurately record received items.
Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling items.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
Ensure proper handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage or loss.
Assist in sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and negotiating prices for goods and services.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase requests as needed to replenish stock.
Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts).
Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices.
Prepare purchase reports, expenditure summaries, and other relevant documentation.
Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing and warehouse procedures.
Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Food & Beverage Purchasing Experience - Required BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field.
Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer or similar role Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
Hands-on experience with purchasing software.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Knowledge of market research.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
