Senior Solar Project ManagerPrincipal Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdvising on site feasibility, design, construction parameters, and construction costs during predevelopment and ground-up development projects.
Develops and manages budget, schedule, and quality of requirements across multiple disciplines for assigned projects.
Develop, coordinate, and manage multiple project plans across various locations.
This role will lead and oversee a team of Project Managers as they develop and maintain the project schedule.
Ensuring the efficient management of renewables projects is consistent with contractual requirements.
Engaging with the project developers on proposals, pre-award site walks, and hand-offsOversee contract negotiations, change orders, and other agreements with subcontractors.
Attending project meetings to ensure progress, identify risk potential, and maintain awareness of project developments in real time.
Creating and maintaining positive relationships with clients and other departments, supervisors, and stakeholders.
Ensuring clear and timely communications with internal and external stakeholders.
Managing project deliverables, project progress, and challenges as they arise.
Support contract review, including general project information, scope, schedule, insurance and compliance requirements, award amount, and total anticipatedPrepares quarterly financial forecasts and monthly updates.
Ensures that the contract is managed to meet all contractual requirements and Mesa Energy System's financial goals.
Responsible for timely and accurate project billing and supporting Accounts Payable as needed related to past-due payments, etc.
Responsible for cost control on each project, ensuring that from award to completion, a solid knowledge of current financial status is known by effectively managing in-house budgets and costs (purchase orders, work orders, subcontracts) and change orders.
Responsible for coordinating procurement of all materials, including strategic long lead items, to maintain and/or improve project budget and schedule.
Manage the client's expectations from hand-off, through contract execution and project completion.
Manage and beneficially resolve disputes with clients, contractors, vendors, suppliers, or subcontractors.
Ensure proper close-out procedures have been followed and documented including quality control, punch list; and any contractual project completion requirements have been satisfied.
Responsible for overseeing design, engineering, permitting, and interconnection progress based on project needs and information available.
Submit accurate and timely design deliverables to client and AHJSubmit accurate and timely utility applications.
Mentor and Develop training sessions for team members as needed.
Responsible for participation in the development and maintenance of departmental SOPsJob Specifications (incl.
Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.
) EducationBachelor's degree in construction science, Construction Management, Engineering, or another related field from an accredited university.
Experience8
years of experience in project or construction management, particularly solar and/or electrical.

years of experience of progressive leadership or supervisory experience.
Must have experience managing projects between $500,000 and $5 million.
Project Management experience in government, DSA, industrial, and/or military construction assignments is required.
Knowledge of alternative contracts and delivery methods a plus.
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Software skills, etc.
Microsoft Project, Outlook, and other associated Microsoft Office Suite products required.
Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, and/or Auto Cad a plus.
