A large, well-known, Fortune 500 biotechnology company in Irvine is seeking a Patent Assistant/Secretary to join its team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.
PATENT PROSECUTION LEGAL ASSISTANT IN IRVINE- GREAT COMPANY TO WORK FOR!

Highly reputed corporation with offices in Irvine seeking an experienced patent prosecution professional to support an established intellectual property group / legal department

This is a temp to hire opportunity

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of solid patent prosecution experience, and an A.A. Degree or a B.A. degree
Must have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Responsibilities include assisting attorneys with e-filing patent applications, 371 filings, updating the docket, preparing filing memos, and more.
Please note: this position could be for a patent paralegal, legal secretary or similarly titled professional. This is not appropriate for a patent agent, J.D. or attorney.
Must have excellent organizational skills, along with strong drafting and proofreading skills

Hourly rate of pay is approx. $35 to start, depending on experience level

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
